SLOWTORCH aus Italien existieren seit Anfang 2004. Anfänglich als Godmachine bekannt, wechselte die Band nach einigen Änderungen im Line-up den Namen - der Stil blieb: lauter, direkter Rocksound mit Stoner-Einflüssen, der unter anderem mit Clutch, Black Sabbath und Black Label Society verglichen wurde.

SLOWTORCH haben bisher vier CDs veröffentlicht:
"Generator" (4-Track-Demo, 2004)
"Scrap Metal & Oil Stains" (3-Track-Demo, 2006)
"Adding Fuel To Fire" (full-length Album, Blindness Records, 2007)
"From Radiation They Came" (4-Track-EP, 2009).

Alle bisherigen Veröffentlichungen erhielten sehr gute Kritiken in der internationalen Fachpresse. Erste Reviews für "From Radiation They Came" trudeln bereits ein und geben der Platte sogar noch bessere Noten als den Vorgängerwerken!

Eine Auswahl an Songs stehen im Internet zum Download bereit, ein Teil des Materials wird auf verschiedenen Radiosendern gespielt, u.a. in Deutschland, Polen, den Niederlanden, Kanada und den USA.

SLOWTORCH haben in 5 Jahren eine ansehnliche Reihe von Auftritten in Italien, Deutschland, Österreich und den Niederlanden absolviert, darunter support shows für Szenegrößen wie Ill Niño, Mnemic, Nick Oliveri's Mondo Generator, Colour Haze, Toner Low, Volbeat und andere.
Im Mai 2008 konnte sich die Band gegen zahlreiche Bewerber aus ganz Italien behaupten und holte sich den dritten Platz im italienweiten Metal Battle Wettbewerb.
Im Herbst 2009 werden sich SLOWTORCH neben Italien und Deutschland unter anderem in England die Ehre geben.

SLOWTORCH have been around since early 2004. Known as Godmachine at first, the band was renamed
after a number of line-up changes. The style remained the same - loud, straight-in-the-face rock music with
stoner influences, which has been compared to that of Clutch, Black Label Society and Black Sabbath. The
band played support slots for various big names, including Ill Niño, Nick Oliveri’s Mondo Generator, Dutch
heavyweights Toner Low, German krautrockers Colour Haze and Danish rockers Volbeat.
Over the years, SLOWTORCH released two demo recordings, Generator (4 tracks, 2004) and Scrap Metal &
Oil Stains (3 tracks, 2006), a full length album called Adding Fuel To Fire, (Blindness Records, 2007) and the
EP From Radiation They Came (2009).
Adding Fuel To Fire and From Radiation They Came were well received by international media, got excellent
reviews and are being distributed online through CDBABY and various platforms including iTunes.
Generator can now be downloaded for free from the SLOWTORCH website.
Part of the band's older material, along with Adding Fuel To Fire and From Radiation They Came is being
played on a number of radio stations in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Canada, and the US.
In July 2008, Another One Down from the album Adding Fuel To Fire was featured on Vol. 10 of the Kill City
sampler series published by US label 272 records.
SLOWTORCH will appear at various festival and clubs throughout the summer and autumn, including the
Metal In The Attic Fest in Streatham, UK.
